‘GRANDSTANDER!!!’ Trump Lashes Out at Democratic Senator Visiting El Salvador and ‘Begging for Attention’

Game respect game?

President Donald Trump has weighed in on Senator Chris Van Hollen’s (D-MD) visit to El Salvador to meet with Kilmar Abrego Garcia.

Trump took to TruthSocial Friday morning to blast the Democratic senator’s much-publicized trip to the Central American nation to meet with the Maryland resident — and illegal immigrant — who was wrongfully deported and sent to an El Salvadorian prison without due process.

Trump wrote, “Senator Chris Van Hollen of Maryland looked like a fool yesterday standing in El Salvador begging for attention from the Fake News Media, or anyone. GRANDSTANDER!!!”

Photos of Van Hollen meeting with Abrego Garcia appear to depict the two enjoying a beverage that some have insisted was a margarita, but which has sparked debate about the contents of their glasses.

Either way, the relaxed and convivial nature conveyed in the imagery stands in stark contrast to the images released from El Salvador’s notorious CECOT prison, where many deportees have been sent, and DHS Secretary Kristi Noem promoted on social media.
