Famous rapper Snoop Dogg appeared to change his opinion of former President Donald Trump in a recent interview, saying he has “nothing but love and respect” for the Republican frontrunner.

In an interview released this weekend at The Sunday Times, Snoop revealed his newly relaxed attitude toward Trump to the British newspaper after years of condemnation and public statements disparaging the former president.

Back in 2017 shortly after Trump won the presidency, Snoop released a music video where he shoots a clown parody of Trump with a fake gun. In the past he also disparaged Trumps supporters and referred to Trump as a “fucking weirdo.”

When asked about his thoughts on Trump as he prepares to run against President Joe Biden for the second time, Snoop sung praise for the Republican leader.

“Donald Trump?” Snoop told the newspaper. “He ain’t done nothing wrong to me. He has done only great things for me. He pardoned Michael Harris.”

In 2021, before leaving office, one of Trump’s final decisions was to pardon Michael “Harry-O” Harris, an associate of Suge Knight who founded Godfather Entertainment. Snoop was signed with the record label early in his music career.

For decades Harris had served time in prison after being convicted on conspiracy and attempted murder. At the time of his release, the rapper praised Trump’s decision noting, “”I love what they did…That’s great work for the president and his team on the way out.
