Trump Cracks About Biden Starting ‘World War 3’ Claiming Current President ‘Doesn’t Remember Quitting the Race’

Former President Donald Trump suggested Monday morning that President Joe Biden “doesn’t remember quitting the race” and warned about “World War 3” in a seemingly facetious social media post.

Biden, recovering from Covid at his Rehoboth, Delaware beach home,  announced via X on Sunday that he was withdrawing from the 2024 election, roughly four weeks before the DNC. He then quickly endorsed his Vice President Kamala Harris as the new nominee, leading to many top Democrats lining up in support.

Trump responded to news that he’d be facing a new opponent in the coming election with his typical over-the-top and decorum-flouting bluster, with a stream of furious insults and his ever-present aggrieved tone that he is somehow the victim in Biden dropping out.

But Monday morning he took his attacks to a new conspiratorial level, suggesting that Biden was unaware that he’d drop out in a way that was both joking and likely to be believed by many of his followers.

Trump wrote: “It’s a new day and Joe Biden doesn’t remember quitting the race yesterday! He is demanding his campaign schedule and arranging talks with Presidents Xi of China, and Putin of Russia, concerning the possible start of World War 3. Biden is “sharp, decisive, energetic, angry, and ready to go!”

This message came shortly after a previous 6 AM message, which read: “The Democrats pick a candidate, Crooked Joe Biden, he loses the Debate badly, then panics, and makes mistake after mistake, is told he can’t win, and decide they will pick another candidate, probably Harris. They stole the race from Biden after he won it in the primaries — A First! These people are the real THREAT TO DEMOCRACY!”

Again, these messages should be taken with a shaker of salt. As Trump admitted during his rally in Grand Rapids on Saturday, the media often mistakes his liberal use of sarcasm to joke around, and anyone who takes these comments at face value is in for a ride, perhaps not of their own choosing.

Trump’s real goal here is to create a narrative by signaling talking points to his media surrogates, which we’ve already seen on Fox News Monday morning.
