Trump Reposts Screed Calling Cancer-Ridden Biden ‘A Decrepit Corpse’

President Donald Trump reposted a rant that referred to former President Joe Biden as “a decrepit corpse” on Monday.
Trump marked Memorial Day with an airing of grievances more appropriate for Festivus than the annual day of remembering those killed while serving in the military. Speaking at Arlington National Cemetery, Trump went off script to attack his predecessor. In a post commemorating the day on Truth Social, the president called Democrats “SCUM” in an all-caps tirade.
“HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY TO ALL, INCLUDING THE SCUM THAT SPENT THE LAST FOUR YEARS TRYING TO DESTROY OUR COUNTRY THROUGH WARPED RADICAL LEFT MINDS,” he wrote. The angry post drew a rebuke from Jonathan Lemire, who said on MSNBC, “We’re certainly not going to read all of that missive. You can go to Truth Social if you care to. But that’s where the president’s mindset is this morning.”
At one point, Trump amplified a post from “DC Draino,” the social media handle for Rogan O’Handley, a right-wing influencer, who posted:
They stole the 2020 election and hijacked the country using a decrepit corpse as a frontman
They used an autopen to start wars, steal from our treasury, and pardon their friends
Arrest those responsible and charge them with TREASON
Trump’s repost of the missive came little more than a week after Biden was diagnosed with an especially aggressive form of prostate cancer, which has spread to his bones. The president initially responded to the news by saying he and the First Lady were “saddened” by the news. A day later, Trump speculated that Biden’s doctors had known about the cancer for some time, but helped cover it up.
“I think people should try and find out what happened because ultimately, I don’t know if it had anything to do with the hospital,” the president said at the White House last week. “Walter Reed is really good. They’re some of the best doctors I’ve ever seen. I don’t even know if they were involved. But a doctor was involved in each case. Maybe it was the same doctor. And somebody is not telling the facts.”
