Trump Teases ‘Mindbogglingly HISTORIC’ Win Against Harvard – On Same Day Judge Blocks His Foreign Student Ban

A federal judge in Boston on Friday indefinitely blocked Trump administration efforts to revoke Harvard University’s ability to enroll international students, and President Donald Trump took to social media to claim a “‘mindbogglingly’ HISTORIC” settlement with the school could be in the offing.

The move marks the latest round in an escalating legal fight, after Homeland Security officials attempted to pull Harvard’s SEVP certification in May. Trump issued a proclamation on June 4th “to restrict the entry of foreign nationals who seek to enter the United States solely or principally to participate in a course of study at Harvard University or in an exchange visitor program hosted by Harvard University.”

Judge Allison D. Burroughs, an Obama appointee, blocked the administration’s actions in May, and issued a second order in June following Trump’s executive action. On Friday, the judge extended the block indefinitely.

In a post on Truth Social on Friday, Trump said that “many people” have asked him what is happening with the Harvard battle, and teased some type of resolution.

“We have been working closely with Harvard, and it is very possible that a Deal will be announced over the next week or so,” he said. “They have acted extremely appropriately during these negotiations, and appear to be committed to doing what is right.”

“If a Settlement is made on the basis that is currently being discussed, it will be ‘mindbogglingly’ HISTORIC, and very good for our Country,” Trump wrote.
