Trump Tells Republicans at Fundraiser: We Need ‘Nationwide Boycotts’ of Companies That Don’t Believe in ‘Conservative Principles’

Former President Donald Trump spoke at a Republican fundraiser Monday night and told party members they should boycott companies that don’t believe in “conservative principles.”

In excerpts shared by the Trump team Wednesday, the former president told Republicans at the National Republican Congressional Committee event they should “ban critical race theory” and “save America’s suburbs from Biden’s CRT-inspired housing agenda.”

He also slipped in a call for Republicans to “force the Interior Department to build the National Garden of American Heroes that I announced.”

Trump applauded House Minority Leader Kevin McCathy for pushing a “Parents’ Bill of Rights” and said it should include the right of “any parent to opt out of the indoctrination.”

Later on he got around to calling for massive boycotts:

We need nationwide boycotts of companies that don’t believe in Republican and conservative principles. We’re not going to buy their product if they’re not going to buy our policy, if they’re not going to respect us… Watch how quickly these companies will change if we do this, and we’re going to boycott the media that doesn’t treat us fairly.

This was the same fundraiser where Trump attacked the House and Senate Republicans who voted for the bipartisan infrastructure package, saying they gave President Joe Biden a win.

Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY), one of the Republicans who voted for it, was “visibly shaken” as Trump continued his attack, according to one report.

At one point in the speech Trump also slipped in his usual big lie about the 2020 election.

You can watch the video above, and before you ask, yes, the Trump team included that music.
