Here’s How Much ESPN’s New Stand-Alone App Will Cost

The price of ESPN’s forthcoming stand-alone, direct-to-consumer service — set to launch this fall — has been revealed.
The first reports of ESPN’s plans for the streaming app were published in May 2023. Simply named “ESPN,” the app will bring the full ESPN channel to customers without the need for a cable subscription. Those without access to cable were previously limited to ESPN+ — which offers only a selection of live programming in addition to original content.
According to a Tuesday report from CNBC, the price for the new ESPN app has been confirmed at $30 per month. For $35 monthly, customers can also purchase a bundle that includes Disney+ and Hulu. The report continued:
The ESPN application will include all of the network’s live games; programming on other ESPN cable networks such as ESPN2 and the SEC Network; ESPN on ABC; fantasy products; new betting tie-ins; studio programming; documentaries; and more.
The new service differs from ESPN’s current streaming product ESPN+, which does not include some of the most-watched live games (such as the full slate of “Monday Night Football”) that currently air on traditional pay TV.
Ahead of the launch of the new app, ESPN also made a major addition to its on-air talent with the return of Rich Eisen.
