Senator Al Franken today said he sees some concerning overtones in Donald Trump‘s new campaign ad.
On CNN’s State of the Union, Jake Tapper pointed out how the ad singles out George Soros, Janet Yellen, and Lloyd Blankfein––all of whom “happen to be Jewish.”
Franken reacted, “When I saw the ad, I thought this was something of a German Shepard whistle, a dog whistle.”
He said the ad “clearly had a sort of Elders of Zion feel to it” and expressed concern about Trump’s “appeal to some of the worst elements in our country”
