Ben & Jerry Fire Up Crowd at Bernie Sanders Campaign Kickoff (Also, Free Ice Cream)
When most politicians give big speeches (like, say, presidential announcements), they’re often introduced by other politicians. But today, before Bernie Sanders kicked off the official start of his presidential campaign, he was introduced by none other than Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield.
Yes, Sanders was introduced by ice cream kings Ben & Jerry.
Ben & Jerry spoke for several minutes about why they support Sanders, and echoed his messages about inequality and the undue influence of money in American politics.
And not only were they there to support Sanders, but they also supported the crowd of Sanders supporters with free Ben & Jerry’s ice cream:
