CNN Reporter Ed Lavandera Assaulted During Live Charlotte Coverage

CNN reporter Ed Lavendera was pushed to the ground while he was reporting live in Charlotte tonight.

Tensions are high in Charlotte after a police shooting of a black man. So far one person has been shot and killed and there has been rioting going on.

Lavendera was reporting on the street downtown when someone, presumably a protester, pushes Lavendera to the ground.

He got up, said he was fine, and told Anderson Cooper they’re “taking their frustrations out on me.”
