CNN’s John King Breaks Down Democratic Gains in House Races: ‘This Is a Blue Wave’

With CNN on election night coverage a week later for the uncalled races, John King said it very much looks like a “blue wave.”

King brought up how close some big House races are and how Democrats are doing well and even pulling ahead in races where the votes are still being counted.

For example, he noted CA-48 is “making Democrats incredibly happy,” because incumbent Republican Dana Rohrabacher is trailing Democratic challenger Harley Rouda. Rouda claimed victory days ago, though King noted CNN hasn’t called the race yet.

And taking in the entire scope of the midterms, King said, “The Senate map not as good for Republicans as they thought. The Democrats picking up governorships. Democrats will take back the House. The only question now is the margin. A lot of people out there who say, ‘Is this a blue wave?’ This is a blue wave.”
