CNN’s Kaitlan Collins Tears Into Nikki Haley for Endorsing Trump: ‘May Not Have Kissed the Ring, but She Certainly Tried It On’

CNN host Kaitlan Collins tore into former Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley for saying she would vote for former President Donald Trump over President Joe Biden on Wednesday, despite Haley previously saying she felt “no need to kiss the ring” of her Republican primary rival.

“Nikki Haley has not spoken publicly since she suspended her race for the White House more than two months ago, but tonight, in her first remarks since that, she made clear who she would be voting for in November, given it won’t be her name on the ballot,” opened Collins on her show The Source:

In those arguments, Nikki Haley said she believes President Biden is a “catastrophe,” but of course it was not that long ago, and voters will remember, that she was arguing to Republican voters, and really the United States, that former President Donald Trump is a, quote, “disaster,” “unhinged,” “unfit,” “unstable,” the list goes on. He also launched a series of attacks against her during that primary race, of course, often deriding her as “Birdbrain.”

Haley proceeded to play a series of clips of Haley saying in February, “I feel no need to kiss the ring,” and “I have no fear of Trump’s retribution.”

Collins concluded, “Haley, of course, may not have kissed the ring, but she has certainly tried it on tonight.”

Haley was also criticized by former fellow Trump administration official John Bolton on Wednesday for endorsing Trump over Biden in the 2024 race.

“I’m disappointed,” Bolton told CNN. “I think she’s obviously made a political calculation that it’s in her interests to support Donald Trump.”
