‘Cut Your F***ing Hearts Out’: CNN, Fox News, MSNBC Air Stunning, Uncensored Testimony From Kyle Rittenhouse Describing Being On the Ground Amid Kenosha Riots
Kyle Rittenhouse – who was 17 years old when he shot three victims, killing two, while responding against rioters in Kenosha, Wis., last year – took the stand on Wednesday.
And it included him using cuss words.
Rittenhouse is on trial, facing several homicide-related and other charges in responding to the riots that occurred in the aftermath of a police officer excessively shooting Jacob Blake, a Black man, in self-defense as Blake was charging with a knife at the officer as officers were trying to arrest Blake over a warrant on sexual assault charges.
Rittenhouse, 18, recalled what he went through on that Aug. 25 night. This included what he said was seeing a fire in an alleyway as rioters tried to set fire to a church.
“We went to go to put that fire out,” said Rittenhouse, who added that they extinguished the fire.
Afterward, according to Rittenhouse, he and a group of people went to go put out a fire at a high school, though the fire was already extinguished by the time he and the group arrived.
Moments later, Rittenhouse was asked by his attorney, Mark Richards, whether there was “any friction between your group and protestors/rioters.”
“No,” he replied. “The only type of stuff that happened was the person that attacked me first threatened to kill me twice.”
That person, according to Rittenhouse, was Joseph Rosenbaum. Rosenbaum ended up being Rittenhouse’s first victim. Rittenhouse said he had never seen him before the confrontation nor had he done anything to upset him.
“Now you said he threatened to kill you twice,” said Richards.
“Yes,” replied Rittenhouse.
When asked to describe the first time, Rittenhouse said it was “me and Ryan Balch were a little bit north, towards the north corner of 59th and Sheridan and Mr. Rosenbaum was walking with a steel chain and he had a blue mask around his face, and he was just mad about something.”
Rittenhouse continued, “Me and Mr. Balch were asking people if they needed medical help and then he screamed, sorry for my language, he said ‘If I catch any of you if you f***ers alone, I’m going to f***ing kill you.”
The second time Rittenhouse said he was threatened was “outside of the Car Source. And I don’t know if it was directed towards me, but I heard it. He said to, I believe it was JoAnn Fiedler, Dustin Collette, and another guy, he was screaming. He said, ‘I’m going to cut your f***ing hearts out.’ I’m not going to repeat the second word. ‘And kill you and [n-words].’”
CNN, Fox News and MSNBC aired, uncensored, the stunning testimony.
