Fox & Friends Announces Fox Corp. is Donating $1 Million to Help Kentucky Tornado Victims
Fox & Friends host Steve Doocy announced during an interview with Brad Keiser, the vice president of disaster operations and logistics for the American Red Cross, that Fox Corp. would be donating $1 million in aid to victims of the weekend’s deadly tornadoes in Kentucky.
Following a discussion of the destruction in western Kentucky, Doocy noted to his guest, “what you need right now is more volunteers, but you need money.”
“That’s why, Brad, I’m proud to announce that our company, Fox Corporation, is donating to you, American Red Cross, $1 million to help with the efforts in the relief efforts and the rescue and the recovery in that region.”
“Steve, I got to tell you, the Red Cross is incredibly grateful for Fox’s generosity and I can tell you those dollars are going to help people in Kentucky recover,” Keiser replied.
“You know, there are over 550 people in shelters this morning, displaced from their homes and others living in homes that have tarps on them and that’s the only thing protecting them, so thanks to your generosity and that of so many other donors we will be out there sheltering, feeding and comforting folks from all over Kentucky,” he added. “Thanks to you and the Fox team, very much.”
“Absolutely and we know there’s a lot of viewers watching right now,” Doocy replied. “They have been watching over the last week and they are heartbroken. If they would like to help your organization, go to redcross.org/foxforward to donate. Help is needed.”
