Fox News Hosts Delight In Rival Network’s Criticism of Kamala Harris: ‘You’ve Lost the Plot When You’ve Lost CNN’
Fox News’ Harris Faulkner and Kayleigh McEnany delighted in several CNN personalities’ criticism of Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris on Thursday, with McEnany submitting that “you’ve lost the plot when you’ve lost CNN” during a segment on Outnumbered.
Faulkner kicked things off by musing that “even CNN’s own panel” thought Harris “came up a bit short” during a town hall event hosted by Anderson Cooper on Wednesday night.
She gave way to a clip of Jake Tapper observing that Harris didn’t drill down on “what she would do as president,” Dana Bash noting that her sources didn’t think Harris had done enough to “close the deal,” Abby Phillip arguing that she got “tripped up” when asked to “drill down” on policy, David Axelrod chastising her over her “habit” of going to “word salad city,” and Van Jones submitting that her “evasions are not necessary.”
“I tell you, David Axelrod put some stuff on people’s minds. I mean, he’s a smart analyst, we know that from his background,” commented Faulkner before handing the floor off to McEnany.
“I do not understand it. Look, she [Harris] had a fine debate against Donald Trump with two moderators who were very much on her side, right? That’s not an easy environment, and she excelled in it. But it just defies my mind, like, why can’t she just answer a question?” she began, taking special exception to Harris’s dithering after she was asked to name a mistake she’s made. “And when CNN — David Axelrod is criticizing you, and Jake Tapper, and Dana Bash; you’ve lost the plot when you’ve lost CNN. And then you have no major game change moments next. Where’s your next game changer moment? Your speech on the Ellipse where you’re going to talk about January 6? Good luck.”
