Giuliani Rails Against Woodward’s ‘Totally False’ Claims: He’s ‘A Genius at Knowing How to Sell Books’
President Donald Trump‘s lawyer Rudy Giuliani railed against Bob Woodward, author of the new book on the Trump White House Fear on CNN Wednesday night.
Speaking to Chris Cuomo, Giuliani started out by denying a diaper story that appeared in Woodward’s book regarding a conversation he had with President Donald Trump, insisting the “word diaper, the word baby” was never said about him in a conversation with Trump and he has about eight witnesses to back him up.
“Now, here’s the tell-all part of this,” Giuliani continued on. “Bob Woodward never sought to contact me about it. He has some gutless wonder who told him this lie. Okay, he’s got a source. But who’s the principal in the story? Me. ”
Giuliani added: “He never interviewed me or any of the other eight witnesses that were there, because he had a nice, juicy little thing that he could use to promo his book, make money, and this is the Woodward scheme. All the time. That whole press release yesterday includes that stupid story, because Woodward had calculated, this can sell me books.”
Then after slamming his “totally false” claims, Giuliani added said that he does not have respect for the respected journalist.
“I have no respect for a man who writes a scurrilous thing about me, that I’m a baby, I need to be in diapers,” Giuliani said. “He doesn’t call me to ask me my version. He doesn’t call anybody else to ask their version.”
Giuliani then once again said it was all about book sales.
“Woodward is a genius at knowing how to sell books,” Trump’s lawyer said.
