GOP Rep. Peter King: Obama Should Invite Darren Wilson to White House
Republican Congressman Peter King suggested today that in a show of coming together and moving on as a nation, President Obama should personally meet with Officer Darren Wilson and maybe even “invite him to the White House.”
What would that accomplish? Well, King, on Fox Business Network, that the White House should tell Wilson, “You’ve gone through four months of smear and slander, and the least we can do is tell you that it’s unfortunate that it happened and thank you for doing your job.”
He panned Obama’s address last night as “lackluster” and lamented, “I wish he’d said one good word about the police, one good word about Officer Wilson, who’d gone through all this.”
