Huntsman on Trump’s Tim Apple Blunder: ‘I Think He Would Be So Funny if He Was Able to Laugh’
President Donald Trump‘s “Tim Apple” coverup did seem to impress The View panelists, who suggested he would have received a much better public reaction if he simply owned up to his mislabeling of Apple CEO Tim Cook. He should have owned up to his obvious blunder by laughing about it instead of pretending he did it on purpose, the panelists said.
View co-host Abby Huntsman said suggested Trump could have displayed humility by admitting he makes mistakes like everybody else.
“I would be shocked if he did laugh at himself, because you know, a little humility goes a long way,” she said. “We’ve all had those moments.”
Huntsman continued with a personal story of a time she mistakenly called her coworker the wrong name for a while, and said that of all the mistakes Trump makes, he could have simply taken this one in stride.
“We can laugh about the fact that he doesn’t have a lot of humility in these moments and can just laugh at himself. I think he would be so funny if he were able to laugh at himself, because there’s so many statements he makes that you could walk it back and make a joke about it,” she said.
