Two days after the tsunami ravaged parts of Japan comes an amazing survival story of a man found clinging to his roof 10 miles out to sea. The man regrettably ran back to his house to retrieve belongings just before the tsunami hit.
When rescued, the 60-year-old man, Hiromitsu Shinkawa, broke down in tears thinking for sure he would not have survived the ordeal. Unfortunately, however, his wife remains missing. Shinkawa said, “No helicopters or boats that came nearby noticed me. I thought that day was going to be the last day of my life.”
