Jasmine Crockett Rips ‘Bully’ Marjorie Taylor Greene: ‘Stop Doing This Ridiculousness’
Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) re-upped her attacks on Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) after the two lawmakers engaged in a now infamous dustup in a committee hearing this month.
During a meeting of the House Oversight Committee, Greene mocked Crockett’s “fake eyelashes,” prompting Crockett to refer to Greene’s “bleached blonde, bad-built, butch body.”
Crockett joined Thursday’s edition of The View, where she spoke about the chaos that committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) was unable to rein in.
“The reality is that there can be a complete devolution of this process or you can get it under control,” she said. “Unfortunately, there has been this situation with Marjorie where she is a bully and no one ever responds. And so, the idea was, she would just get away with it again.”
“Like Trump,” Joy Behar interjected.
“Correct,” Crockett responded. “She basically just mimics Trump, and because she mimics Trump, she is one their top fundraisers, period. She is the fifth highest fundraising member of the Republican Party behind those in leadership because she is rewarded for her antics and for the destruction of our institution.”
The lawmaker went on to allege that Greene isn’t so much driven by partisanship, but by “antics.”
“And, see, the thing is it’s not about partisanship at all,” Crockett continued. “It’s about respect and it’s about making sure that you’re doing the work of the people. I will work with anybody that wants to make this a better country. And we don’t have to agree on everything. But where we can find common ground, let’s get to work and stop doing this ridiculousness.”
