Jon Stewart Likens Bush Tax Cuts To Getting In Shape Via ‘Laziness And Bacon’

Last night Jon Stewart summed up the recent political debate over a growing federal deficit in stark and oversimplified terms: one side wants lower taxes (Bush tax cuts) and less spending, and the other wants higher taxes and more spending (an extension to expiring unemployment benefits.) Cut to President Obama‘s so-called “deal” in which both sides agreed to extending both tax cuts and benefits. Stewart noted that solving the deficit with “lower taxes and more spending” is like getting in shape via “laziness and bacon.”
