On Tuesday night, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) tried to bring the peace between his GOP colleagues — Bob Corker and Jeff Flake — and President Trump.
When asked how the president’s Tuesday meeting with Republicans went, Graham told Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade that it was “upbeat” and he was “lighthearted” and “funny as hell.”
“He picked different people out of the crowd, including John [McCain] and said very complimentary things,” Graham said. “If you saw this guy, if this guy shows up a lot, his numbers are going to improve.”
“No, I think Jeff Flake and Bob Corker will do what they think is best for the country,” Graham responded. “The one thing I would say to both of these colleagues — I admire you, I’d like you, you got guts. To the president, you beat me. I want you to be successful. To all three of you, knock it off!”
