‘Lock Her Up’ Chants Break Out at Trump MI Rally as He Goes After Gov. Whitmer

President Donald Trump repeatedly went after Governor Gretchen Whitmer during his Michigan rally Tuesday.

Trump has blasted Whitmer at a number of rallies, including in her home state, and as he talked about lockdowns in Lansing Tuesday, he said, “You’re already locked down. I mean, this state — we gotta get her going, I don’t know… I don’t think she likes me too much.”

At that point, massive chants of “lock her up!” broke out at the rally.

Whitmer was recently the target of a foiled kidnapping plot, something that Trump referenced and even raised questions about minutes later in going after her again:

“Hey, I’m the one — it was our people that helped her out with her problem. I mean, we’ll have to see if it’s a problem, right? People are entitled to say maybe it was a problem, maybe it wasn’t. It was our people — my people, our people — that helped her out. And then she blamed me for it.”
