Maher: MSNBC Flags Were Flying at Half-Mast over Latest Christie News

During his opening Real Time monologue on Friday evening, Bill Maher skewered both MSNBC and Chris Christie while riffing on the latest news that federal investigators have not found a connection between the New Jersey governor and the infamous George Washington Bridge closure scandal.

“The flags were flying at half-mast today at MSNBC,” the comedian said, “because the Justice Department are about to put out a report that found no evidence Chris Christie ordered the Bridgegate scandal or even knew about it beforehand.”

Of course, Maher couldn’t let the segment slide without a joke about the governor’s weight, hence the next zinger: “So eat it, haters! Eat it with your hands… like Chris Christie does with lasagna.”
