Mitch McConnell Would Like ‘A Little Less Drama’ from the White House
Today marks one week since James Comey was fired. Yes, it’s only been a week.
And Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is now expressing his desire that he would like to see “less drama” coming from the White House.
In an interview with Bloomberg’s Kevin Cirilli this morning, he reacted to the big new report about President Trump allegedly revealing classified information to top Russian officials, saying that “I think we could do with a little less drama from the White House on a lot of things so that we can focus on our agenda.”
Back in February, McConnell expressed his belief that what Trump is publicly saying “makes everything harder” and that he’s not a fan of the “daily tweets.”
He also revealed that he believes Merrick Garland would be a good choice for FBI director. (People close to Garland have said he’s not interested.)
