‘Or Else What?’ McCain Slams Biden for Empty Threat Against Russia

At this point, after Syria and what’s already happened in Ukraine, John McCain is getting frustrated with empty threats from the Obama administration in response to global crises. In response to Joe Biden condemning Russian actions, McCain said on Morning Joe, “Or else what? Or else what? What is the vice president saying? If they continue to do this, what will we do?”

He also took the White House to task for not tackling the “horrendous genocide” in Syria, blaming President Obama‘s promise when he ran for president to stem “the tide of wars” and bring American occupation of foreign countries to an end of sorts. McCain said, “He does not appreciate, in my view, the importance of American leadership.”

And to the argument that the American people are tired of war, McCain argued the U.S. was similarly exhausted after Vietnam, but it has to fall to President Obama to go out to the public and repeatedly make the case “why it’s important Putin’s aggression not continue.”
