O’Reilly: Trump Has Stimulated the Debate by Calling Out the Cowards
In his return to The O’Reilly Factor, Bill O’Reilly used his Talking Points Memo to do a round up on the myriad of political activity that went on during his absence. One of the major highlights was in his explanation of how Donald Trump continues to ride high on immigration because he makes waves and stands apart from the “craven cowardly politicians” that don’t even try to tackle the issues.
“It really doesn’t matter whether Trump has specific solutions to vexing problems,” O’Reilly said. “It’s enough for millions of voters that he is calling out the charlatans.”
O’Reilly also noted how Trump has managed to rattle so many politicians and media figures through his disruption of the system they embrace. To this, O’Reilly said that Trump was adding vibrance to the GOP debate, which he described as not only good for the party, but bad for Hillary Clinton‘s less colorful campaign.
O’Reilly also noted that Trump’s candidacy has exploded because he has been able to take the media speculation and personal attacks of voters, and turn them to his advantage. He compared Trump’s antics to Newt Gingrich‘s 2012 debate victory after vigorously defending himself from the questions he was facing at the time surrounding his ex-wife.
