Outnumbered Blasts John Kerry Over ‘Shadow Diplomacy’: ‘It Makes Him The Jane Fonda of The Middle East’
The Outnumbered couch weighed in on the report that former Secretary of State John Kerry is using “shadow diplomacy” in order to salvage the Iran Nuclear Deal.
In a report by The Boston Globe, Kerry has met with several world leaders in hopes to pressure the Trump administration to remaining in the international agreement, including Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif as recently as last month.
On Monday morning, President Trump slammed Kerry on Twitter, calling it “possibly illegal” as some have speculated that Kerry had violated the Logan Act.
Fox News contributor Charles Hurt called Kerry’s actions “breathtaking” because he is “undermining U.S. foreign policy” and unlike Trump, Kerry “tried and failed” when he ran for president.
“You know what that makes him? It makes him the Jane Fonda of the Middle East.” Kennedy responded to Hurt. “I’m not even kidding about that! There’s something about that that is so unethical and underheadd and, put politics aside, foreign policy and diplomacy are supposed to be separate from domestic politics.”
Abby Huntsman chimed in by saying the deal was Kerry’s “baby” and that much of this “is personal.”
