R. Kelly Goes Off In Explosive Interview Over Alleged Sexual Abuse: ‘Y’all Killing Me With this Sh*t!’
R. Kelly got emotional and eruptive on Tuesday when he broke his silence on the sexual abuse allegations multiple women have brought against him.
In an interview with CBS’ Gayle King, Kelly expressed frustration over the “lies” about him and insisted he “absolutely” did not break any laws in connection to the women he had relationships with. When King brought up the women who leveled various charges against him in the documentary series Surviving R Kelly, the R&B singer pushed back and said he apologized to the women in his life whenever they felt wronged over the course of their relationships with him.
Kelly was recently released on bail after being charged with multiple counts of aggravated sexual abuse against four women over the year, including 3 victims who were minors at the time of their alleged incidents. As King asked him if he ever had sex with a minor, Kelly grew increasingly testy as he repeatedly denied it and said his accusers are lying.
From there, Kelly fumed that “I have been assassinated” before he ended up getting out of his chair in a profane explosion of anger:
“That’s stupid! Use your common sense. Forget the blogs, forget how you feel about me. Hate me if you want to, love me if you want, but use your common sense. How stupid would it be for me with my crazy past and what I’ve been through, ‘oh, right now, I just think I need to be a monster and hold girls against their will’…Stop it. Y’all quit playing. I didn’t do this stuff. This is not me! I’m fighting for my f*cking life! Y’all killing me with this sh*t!”
King was able to effectively continue the interview once Kelly took a break to calm down, but he remained emotionally on edge throughout the conversation
