Ridiculous: Lara Trump Claims ‘It’s Pretty Obvious That Donald Trump Does Accept Election Results’
Republican National Committee Co-Chair Lara Trump said her father-in-law Donald Trump totally accepts the results of elections.
Appearing on Thursday’s episode of The Balance on Newsmax, Lara Trump was asked about recent comments from prominent Democrats who said the former president will not accept November’s election results if he loses – just like he did in 2020.
“You have Barack Obama, Joe Biden, now Hillary Clinton saying something to you to the effect of, if Trump loses, he will not accept the results,” host Eric Bolling noted. “Is that coordinated?”
“I think, isn’t it all coordinated?” she replied. “Isn’t all of this stuff coming from one place? It’s pretty obvious that Donald Trump does accept election results even despite the fact that it was a very questionable election in 2020 because Joe Biden is, unfortunately, sitting in the Oval Office today.”
To this day, Donald Trump falsely claims the 2020 election was rigged against him and spent two months trying to overturn the results. Even when he won in 2016, he did not fully accept the final numbers. He falsely alleged that “millions of people” illegally voted in the election and deprived him of a popular vote victory.
“What Donald Trump has said – and I think he’s exactly right – is that we should have free, fair, and transparent elections,” she continued. “And unfortunately, Eric, there are millions and millions of Americans out there who don’t feel like they can trust our electoral process. We can’t function as a country like that.”
She went on to say her father-in-law will accept the results of November’s election “if he feels it was a fair election.”
The former president and his allies have spent three and a half years hyping bogus claims of election fraud, which is perhaps a significant reason why nearly 70% of Republicans think Biden’s 2020 victory was invalid.
Lara Trump previously said the RNC will have “people who can physically handle ballots” at polling stations on election day.
