‘That Sketch Looks Nothing Like Trump’: Kayleigh McEnany Rips ‘Travesty’ of a Courtroom Drawing

Kayleigh McEnany took issue with a courtroom sketch of former President Donald Trump shortly after he finished testifying in the civil fraud case against him.

Trump had a wild day of testimony in Manhattan on Monday and was repeatedly admonished by Judge Arthur Engoron during the bench trial. In September, Engoron issued a partial summary judgment finding that Trump’s business defrauded lenders and insurance companies by inflating the value of his assets to obtain more favorable terms. Engoron will now determine the penalties Trump will pay.

Attorney General Letitia James is seeking $250 million and the revocation of Trump’s business licenses. Engoron already granted the latter request, but that ruling has been stayed pending appeal.

On Monday’s edition of The Five on Fox News, the co-hosts re-upped their criticism of the proceedings, with McEnany, a former Trump press secretary, taking particular issue with the courtroom sketch of Trump.

“Kayleigh, what advice would you give him when he’s in the courtroom?” Greg Gutfeld asked.

“Keep doing what he’s doing,” she answered. “Look, I would advise them to ask for a better sketch artist because that does not look like my former boss there.”

McEnany went on to attack James for calling Trump a “conman” and a “carnival barker” while campaigning for her current job. She then attacked Engoron.

“This is a travesty of justice,” she continued. “And that sketch is a travesty too. It looks nothing like Trump.”

Her co-hosts expressed disagreement with her take on the sketch.

Last month, co-host Jessica Tarlov expressed the opposite view of a different courtroom drawing of Trump, suggesting it was too charitable.
