The Final Season of Parks and Rec Will Take Place in the Distant Future: 2017
When Parks and Recreation aired its sixth season finale last April, the final few minutes contained a major surprise. The fictional world of Pawnee, Indiana had skipped three years into the future with Leslie Knope and Ben Wyatt’s triplets running around the freshly-remodeled office. When the show returns for its final, truncated season next month, it will be sticking with the futuristic conceit, tackling life in the year 2017.

A new promo for the final season shows near-future developments like delivery drones and transparent iPads, but given Amy Poehler’s character’s deep love for both Hillary Clinton and (even more so) Joe Biden, the real question is: Will the show reveal who won the presidency in 2016?
