TPUSA Staffer Shut Down by Fox News Host After Comparing Hillary to Herpes: ‘Not Appropriate’

Turning Point USA’s Director of Spanish Engagement Anna Paulina found herself quickly booted from the air Thursday morning after comparing former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to “herpes.”

The exchange came during an awkward interview where host Rick Leventhal tried to prompt Paulina into talking about Clinton’s emails.

Instead, Paulina answered this: “I’d have to say, with everything that happened with President Trump and the border, you know the Dick Act of 1903 established the ability of the president to federalize the National Guard and basically call forth the National Guard in times of crisis…”

Leventhal then reminded his guest that he thought they were talking about Clinton and her emails before moving on to his other guest, political analyst Doug Schoen.

Schoen talked on the right topic — Clinton and her emails — which prompted Leventhal to remark that it is amazing Clinton is still in the headlines.

That is when Paulina decided to join in.

“She won’t go away. She’s like herpes!” Paulina interjected.

“Okay, that is news that we are breaking here. Not appropriate,” Leventhal said, clearly taken back by his guest’s words.

The segment then continued on without Paulina.

Later, Leventhal apologized for  “some of the language that was used in the segment.”

Fox News also issued an on-air apology to Secretary Clinton.
