Tucker Carlson once again took up the defense of embattled Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh on Friday night, after his confirmation was sent to the full Senate by the Judiciary Committee.
Kavanaugh, President Donald Trump‘s nominee for Supreme Court, testified before the committee on Thursday following testimony from Christine Blasey Ford, the woman who accused him of sexually assaulting her in 1982. The nominee delivered an angry and at times tearful rebuke of the allegations and lambasted Democrats for what he described as “smears” and a “grotesque and obvious character assassination.”
“At this point, Kavanaugh isn’t just a Supreme Court nominee,” Carlson said on his show Friday night. “He is a folk hero to many people, an inspiration to millions. People who have spent the last two years being browbeaten and bullied by their moral inferiors were buoyed by what he said yesterday.”
“These are people who have been told they’re worthless and bigoted,” Carlson continued, leaning in to the aggrieved-populist schtick.
“They have been unfairly maligned because they are in the way of other people gaining power. They’ve been commanded to shut up and obey. Kavanaugh stood up to those people yesterday. He raised a middle finger to the tormentors. And they love him for it.”
Following that diatribe, Carlson had his umpteenth segment of the week warning that white men are under attack in the United States of America. Beware!!!
