TV Land Pulls Reruns of The Dukes of Hazzard

It’s come to this.

A spokesman for nostalgic syndication channel TV Land confirmed Tuesday that all episodes of The Dukes of Hazzard have been pulled from their schedule. The New York Post reports that the network declined to offer an explanation, but it seems likely the show is the latest causality in the Great Confederate Flag War of 2015.

Last week, Warner Bros. pulled all Dukes of Hazzard merchandise that featured “The General Lee,” the show’s iconic Dodge Charger with a custom Confederate flag paint job. Meanwhile, Duke of Hazzard actor Ben Jones, who portrayed the mechanic Cooter and went on to serve in Congress, has emerged as one of the staunchest defender of the flag.
