Wall Street Journal Editor Predicts ‘Trump Might Just Pull This Off’
During an appearance on Fox News this afternoon, Wall Street Journal deputy editor Daniel Henninger claimed that Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump could still win, despite polls and early voting giving Democrat Hillary Clinton the edge on Election day.
In response to host Jon Scott’s question about Clinton’s superior voter turnout operation and campaign infrastructure, Henninger said it was a “desire for change” that could lead Trump to victory today.
“I think, Jon, that this race has really tightened towards the end,” Henninger stated. “Trump is the candidate of change. Hillary Clinton cannot pretend to be and I don’t think she has.”
After discussing how the election is also a referendum of President Obama’s tenure and how the Democratic Party has moved to the left, Henninger gave his prediction of today’s vote.
“I’m gonna make a prediction that Republicans are going to hold the Senate,” the editor said.
He continued, “And I think Trump just might pull this off tonight for the reasons I’ve been describing.”
