Rudy Giuliani spoke at a campaign rally in New York on Saturday, and said that FBI agents investigating President Donald Trump should be in a psychiatric ward instead of working the case against his client.
The former New York mayor spoke at a rally in Staten Island for GOP Rep. Dan Donovan, and made remarks on the current special counsel investigation into the Trump campaign’s Russia ties.
“I’m very proud because he’s got that spirit,” Giuliani said of Trump, according to CNN. “My God, nothing gets him down. But what they’ve been doing to him is heartless, it’s cruel.”
Giuliani went on to claim that the investigation is “made up of a bunch of distorted human beings who cried” when Hillary Clinton lost the 2016 election.
“Imagine FBI agents and prosecutors crying when Hillary Clinton wasn’t elected. I think if I could get those pictures of them crying …” Giuliani said.
“Instead of investigating President Trump, they should go to Bellevue,” Giuliani declared, referring to the famous New York City psychiatric ward.
Giuliani then pointed to his head, grimaced, and said “Wackadoodles.”
“Ahhhhh we want Hillary! What’s going to happen!” he cried. “I need a psychiatrist!”
After an unruly rally-goer yelled “lock em up,” Giuliani replied, “Let’s not lock em up, let’s elect Dan, let’s keep this seat Republican. Let’s stop the possibility of a ridiculous impeachment.”
