WATCH: Joe Concha Declines Sean Hannity’s Insistence His Show Delivers Straight News
Fox News’ Sean Hannity might not have gotten what he was looking for on Wednesday night since one of his guests refused to say outright that his show gravitates around hard news.
Joe Concha, a media columnist for The Hill and Mediaite alumni, was on Hannity’s panel last night for the conversation with former 60 Minutes Correspondent Lara Logan about the blurred lines between news and opinion programming on CNN.
Hannity noted that as a radio and TV personality, “I have hundreds of hours I can produce of straight reporting,” and that his show is a mix of opinion programming and investigative reporting that the media is “too lazy and partisan” to do.
When Concha was asked if Hannity’s self-description was fair, he avoided answering directly when he said: “I think people tune in primarily for your opinions, but you cover the other stuff…”
“I could produce hundreds of hours of me, straight story reporting just the facts,” Hannity interjected.
“That is fine,” Concha said, “but I think most of the time people want to know your perspective on certain news.”
