BBC ‘Question Time’ Presenter Fiona Bruce Hosts With Black Eye And Sling

Veteran broadcaster Fiona Bruce, host of Question Time, appeared on the show Thursday with her arm in a sling and a black eye after falling off a horse.
The 59-year-old hosts the live audience show which travels around the country presenting guest panellists that discuss current and political affairs. This week the show was in Wolverhampton but ahead of any debate Bruce addressed her concerning and very visible injuries.
“I thought I’d just mention it,” she said, “it is the least interesting thing in the programme but in case you’re wondering I broke my hand, and I have got the remnants of a black eye, because I fell off a horse. And that’s all there is to say about that.”
Bruce began horse riding in 2011, a hobby that she regularly discusses her love for.
In a 2021 interview with The Daily Mail, however, she admitted to not being a pro: “I started horse riding very late in life. I will always be pretty rubbish, but I love it. It takes me to a different place. I can’t think about anything else when I’m doing it. I love being around horses. I love the speed. I love being outdoors.”
