GB News Audience Member Asks Where To Claim Expenses On Live Interview

One audience member of Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s hour-long appearance on GB News’ People’s Forum on Monday night was less interested in voting Conservative than finding out where to submit his expenses claim.

GB News reporter Christopher Hope was surveying the audience’s reaction as they exited the studio, asking whether the prime minister had said enough to win their vote.

Opinions varied, some attendees said they remained undecided. Others added that they “hadn’t learned anything new” during the session while one man despaired that he believed the next election is “lost” and the Conservatives cannot win.

Hope, speaking to an elderly man holding an envelope, asked again: “You, sir, has the PM convinced you to vote for him?”

Pausing the man replied: “He’s convinced me to think about it. But what I am thinking about at the moment is ‘where do i hand in my expenses claims?’”

The reporter laughed: “Don’t ask me, sir, I’m only a journalist. Thank you.”

The audience of “undecided voters” were reportedly selected by polling company Survation and therefore will be compensated for their attendance.

Still, while the Conservative Party X account celebrated that Sunak had “smashed” the Q&A, the expenses revelation left other viewers even more shocked that the prime minister had failed to impress.
