‘I Wouldn’t Go Out With Her’: GB News Host Eamonn Holmes Rips On Taylor Swift For ‘Bashing Her Exes’

GB News host Eamonn Holmes declared he “wouldn’t date” pop sensation Taylor Swift during a weirdly heated debate about the singer’s unapologetic lyrical takedowns of former boyfriends.

The conversation was sparked by a piece from Daily Mail columnist Liz Jones, who praised 34-year-old Swift for making her past relationships subject matter for her songs. Swift has dated several high profile celebrities including actors Taylor Lautner and Tom Hiddleston as well as musicians like Harry Styles and Calvin Harris.

“Revenge isn’t just best served cold,” Jones wrote. “It becomes deliciously deadly when dished up in front of a global audience of 17 million open-mouthed people.”

Holmes, 64, was less impressed and didn’t mince his words, labelling Swift a “bitter woman” for her habit of “bashing her exes” in her chart-topping hits.

“I wouldn’t like to have dated her,” he said, prompting laughter from co-host Isabel Webster.

“What’s your real view? You think she’s had quite a few boyfriends don’t you?” Webster asked.

He continued: “She’s had quite a few boyfriends and she isn’t very successful at holding on to them. And then the inevitable is she writes a song and she slags them off in it!”

Commentator Scarlett MccGwire weighed in, defending Swift: “What’s so interesting is that Liz Jones has written a piece saying yes I do exactly the same, which she does. Except the thing about Taylor Swift is she writes beautiful songs that actually inspire people, and Liz Jones just slags off her exes and says we’re both artists.”

She added: “The problem is, if you go out with Taylor Swift or Liz Jones or any writer, that’s the price you pay.”

Holmes replied: “Well, you’ve put me off. I’m not going to go out with her.”

While Swift is yet to comment it appears that, for now, she’ll have to stick with her triple Super Bowl-winning boyfriend Travis Kelce, having missed her shot with a mediocre GB News host. I’m sure she’s devastated.
