Ted Cruz Tells a Crowd How Hillary Clinton Is Going to Spend Her Time in Jail

Screen-Shot-2016-04-20-at-10.53.58-AM-650x427With the New York nightmare behind him, Texas Senator Ted Cruz was off to Hershey, Pennsylvania Wednesday with his sights firmly set on the next batch of primaries. Pennsylvania is one of five states that will be holding its voting on Tuesday, and today’s rally featured an opening number from a familiar campaign face: Carly Fiorina, who formally endorsed Cruz on March 9.

Despite dropping out of the campaign herself, Fiorina remains a popular figure with voters after a strong campaign and a well-demonstrated debate talent. “How about Carly?” Cruz sheepishly asked the crowd to easy cheers.

The Texas Senator then did his due diligence of firing cross-aisle pot shots, this time behind a Fiorina shield. He told the crowd, “Isn’t [Carly] fantastic? What an incredible, powerful, principled leader and let me tell you something: Carly terrifies Hillary Clinton.” With the crowd still rallying at the thought of the defeated Democrat, Cruz continued, “I can just picture Hillary thinking about Carly: tossing and turning, and tossing and turning,” — then pausing for that comedic punch — “…in her jail cell,” sending the crowd into a frenzy in support of their candidate who as of today is mathematically eliminated from earning the nomination on his own.
