What Happens When Al Roker Doesn’t Think He’s On-Air?

Yesterday we noted how you’ll be seeing even more of Al Roker beginning on Monday. Well today we saw (or rather, heard) more than usual.

When Roker threw to the local affiliate (“Here’s what’s happening in your neck of the woods!”), one local affiliate wasn’t quite ready. A Mediaite tipster noticed Hartford/New Haven (WVIT-TV) never cut to the local weather, so we got to hear Roker’s conversation during the short break.

What did he talk about? Mostly teasing Erin Burnett about her shoes.
