What is This Video of Mary J. Blige Singing to Hillary Clinton?

 

Um, we don’t really know what to say about this one. Last night, Apple released a teaser for an upcoming interview between Mary J. Blige and Hillary Clinton.

The video begins with the R&B singer serenading Clinton about police brutality. It begins, “If an officer stops you / Always be polite / And never ever run away / Promise mama you’ll keep your hands in sight.” It ends with “You can get killed just for living in / Your American skin.” Clinton and Blige are holding hands.

Apple later released a second video with less singing (though still, there is some singing):

We don’t really know what to make of this. It doesn’t seem like Clinton knows either.
