1 Dead, 3 Injured in Azusa, CA Shooting (UPDATED)
At least two people were wounded in a shooting in Azusa, California near a polling place earlier today.
UPDATE –– 7:16 pm ET: 1 person has died and 3 more are injured, authorities have confirmed.
According to CBS LA, officers were “pinned down” by gunfire and there was an effort to extract them. As of this posting, it is still reportedly an active shooter situation.
Azusa police sent out this alert on Twitter:
Critical Incident: Please stay out of the area of Fourth St & Orange Ave. All residents in the area shelter in place.

Some reports are saying four people in total were injured.
A local official sent out the following information on Twitter about how this has impacted the two polling places nearby:

Two voters at the Memorial Park polling place told CNN what they witnessed:
One male voter says he was inside when he heard a bunch of shots ring out and people from outside starting to run in before officials locked the doors. He told CNN a “massive shooting is happening and the police have told us to stay indoors. We are currently on locked down.”
A female voter told CNN she heard the shots ring out.
“At first, I thought it was construction but people came running into the room saying they see a guy with a bulletproof vest and a white shirt. As of right now, they just have us in the voting room and are trying to keep us calm.”
