Donald Trump In New Rant: I Didn’t Run For President Due To Republican ‘Stupidity’
Much like a low-budget version of Glenn Beck TV, Donald Trump has been making routine releases of opinion videos on questions that he perceives the media has of him. After explaining why he eats pizza with utensils, Trump is now tackling why he didn’t run for president as a Republican. Yes, he admits, turning down The Apprentice was impossible, but the Republicans and their “absolutely ridiculous” approach to Medicare.
“When they tamper with Medicare, they have a death wish,” Trump noted, using the same language for the Republicans that he used for Rep. Anthony Weiner. “It’s absolutely ridiculous what they did… the timing was so bad,” he complained about the Rep. Paul Ryan plan. “You can’t win an election if you’re going to be playing games with Medicare,” he continued, concluding that “the stupidity of the Republicans and the Ryan plan” finally got him to decide against a run. He also opposed the Republican refusal to give money to the victims of the tornado of Joplin, MO.
But that’s not entirely the reason Trump refused to run as a Republican. “On top of that,” he said, “NBC is calling me on an hourly basis, offering me all sort of money to continue The Apprentice… Who gives up a hit show? Nobody.”
But Trump is never one to refuse to give something to fans, promising there was plenty of time left for the “big show.”
