Feminist Columnist’s Hobby Lobby ‘F*ck-In’ Joke Generates Angry Response
In the wake of Monday’s Supreme Court decision in favor of Hobby Lobby’s right to not extend contraceptive coverage in its employee health insurance plans, many liberal pundits and politicians offered up distressed opinions on the matter.
The Guardian‘s feminist columnist Jessica Valenti also offered up this joking suggestion for those alarmed by the SCOTUS decision:
Maybe women should organize a safe-sex fuck-in at every Hobby Lobby across the country. In the glitter aisle. JUST A THOUGHT.

Some didn’t see the humor:
This is why women can't have nice things. https://t.co/ninSGo2la8 Keep it classy, female establishment. #WarByWomen

And, exactly what will this accomplish other than confirming that liberal values – overall – are inherently rotten?

Valenti directly took on the “stay classy” jab:
Love "stay classy" gripes from conservatives in my TL – not only should women abstain from sex, apparently we can't joke about it either!
— Jessica Valenti (@JessicaValenti) June 30, 2014
And suggested her detractors are humorless:
Those who complain about "humorless" feminists are the first to be SO OFFENDED by a Hobby Lobby fuck-in joke. http://t.co/E2Cl55S64R

She also re-tweeted some of the more bizarre comments directed her way:
