Fire Spreads Through Massive Dubai Skyscraper

The Marina Torch in Dubai, one of the tallest residential building in the world, was engulfed in flames tonight and a sandstorm made it difficult to put out.

According to Gulf News, the fire started on the 50th floor and spread all over the tower. Thousands of people have been evacuated from the building, and flaming debris fell all the way to the ground.

As of this posting, the fire has been somewhat contained.

There were lots of people on scene, some of whom took pictures of the blaze:
