Fox News Gets a Executive Vice President of Human Resources

kevin-lordFox News has announced that they have created a new position in their corporate division: Executive Vice President of Human Resources!

The  co-presidents who were appointed after Roger Ailes‘ scandalous departure, Jack Abernethy and Bill Shine, released a statement about their pick, Kevin Lord, who previously was the Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at TEGNA Inc. and Executive Vice President of Human Resources for NBC News.

They said this:

Kevin is an extremely well-rounded executive who recognizes the essential role that Human Resources plays, having held high profile positions at major media companies and GE. His long and impressive track record in this arena will be a valuable addition to our management team and we look forward to him implementing key programs reflecting his core vision for employees.

Lord has specialized in HR transformation within new management structures, which means he’ll do really well in the post-Ailes Fox era as he tackles the company’s history of sexual harassment allegations and public spats between talent.
