Friendly Fire: Bill O’Reilly And Laura Ingraham Spar Over Michelle Obama

oreilly_ingrahamThe Obama Administration hosted its first White House Christmas party for the media this week. Bill O’Reilly not only attended, but he later spoke very highly of the party, making particular mention of how impressed he was with first lady Michelle Obama. This did not please conservative radio host Laura Ingraham, who gave O’Reilly some stick during a guest appearance on The Factor. Not surprisingly, O’Reilly pushed right back.

While the tenor of the conversation started light, it appeared to become heated at times, before returning to the jovial teasing vibe that O’Reilly and Ingraham usually enjoy.

O’Reilly: I understand that you and Dr. Deiner are going to have a dinner date tonight?

Ingraham: Oh yeah…its like you and Michelle Obama. We’re like this.

O’Reilly: Hey, Michelle Obama and I very, very close

Ingraham: I’m gushing over your gushing last night about Christmas party. I’m still trying to get over that.

O’Reilly (interrupting): I’m calling you out on that. I thought she was very nice at the party. I thought she treated everyone with respect…you’re going to give me a hard time about that? I reported honestly

Ingraham (interrupting): What did you think she was going to do? Not let you near the punch bowl? I mean of course she’s going to be nice to you! She’s smart!

O’Reilly: So what? She was nice! I reported what happened and you have a beef with it?

Ingraham: I don’t remember you gushing over Laura Bush

O’Reilly: Well then you have a bad memory Miss Laura because I said, when Laura Bush gave the initial speech at the convention in 2000 I was the first broadcaster to say that this woman gave an extraordinary speech on education! So YOU don’t know what you are talking about! Don’t call me out on that!

Ingraham: I have just one question. Did you eat an ACORN shaped cookie last night?

O’Reilly: Oh Bull___! You are a blind ideologue who, even if somebody is nice to you, you won’t admit it because you’re … talk about a Kool-aid drinker? You have an IV attached to your arm!

Ingraham: They are a beautiful family.

It’s all about FAME…and ORIELLY is NOT immune to the trappings, of same, or is any different, THAN ANYONE WOULD, if they met the same people.

It’s nice to see Laura “getting some in”, with The Big Guy, though !

THIS is what is charming about the man…he has nothing to conceal.

    Ingraham is worthless.
Did anybody every bother to tell O’Reilly that Ingraham used to make fun on him and his TV show. I used to listen to her radio show, and she would constantly make fun of his show and all of the different segments he has. Then, one day, she get invited to be on his show and…nothing. She wasn’t making fun of him anymore.

I used to listen to her show (sometimes) and, sure, she would piss me off with the dumb things she would say, but the final straw was the day she had Diane Sollee from Smart Marriages website. I stopped listening all together after that show because she went nuts on Sollee, and it became even more obvious that she is a delusional fool. Before that she was just dumb and annoying.

I remember the interview, because you could tell Ingraham was excited, but at one point, Sollee mentioned some study that suggested that even having God, and regular church going, in your life doesn’t seem to save a marriage, and Ingraham didn’t seem to like that one bit — hell, she freakin’ lost it!
I wish faith in God, and going to church did help, believe me, but I’ve known plenty of regular church goers (even in my family) that have divorced. There is no magic formula that will help make it last.
What really made me mad was when Ingraham started going after Sollee with personal questions, trying to find something that she could use against Sollee, so she could discredit her — and the study — just because Ingraham didn’t like that one part where Sollee mentioned the study, and the fact that God and religion didn’t seem to help.
What’s funny is, Sollee was practically apologetic about the study, when she first mentioned it. She even said something about needing to do more studies. It’s not like she was throwing it in Ingraham’s face or anything.
    She is pathetic.

Is it just me or does anyone else think that Laura Ingraham is a man in drag? I think she has an adam’s apple. Could be a tranny. I’m just sayin!

  • Pat Doherty

Isn’t the liberal meme that Coulter is the one who’s a man in drag? Can’t be getting our slurs mixed up now.

I felt that was “healthy” for O’Reilly to confront Laura Ingraham. Wouldn’t you agree that she is a “blind ideologue”?

That’s her career. I believe that’s how she makes her income. Lot’s of people follow, read or listen to blind ideologues because that’s what they feel comfortable with. If you don’t like what they saying, I don’t think you would listen to them on a regular basis.

That’s why Fox haters hate Fox and MSNBC haters hate MSNBC. Ideologues are very predictable in their thinking and actually less dangerous (people who always defend Dems or always defend Repubs). Those ideologues that are more covert (Media) are the more dangerous. It’s slight and not as obvious at times. Unless you’re an blind ideologue politician that knows they can get away with BS because they know they’ll always be re-elected.

BTW: Did you know that Ingrahm’s Wikipedia page claims that she briefly dated Keith Olbermann? Who would have been the boss in that relationship?

Ingraham is a blind ideologue. She actually expected people to trash a Christmas party simply because of who the hostess was.

She and Olbermann are perfect for each other. Neither has a single functioning brain cell and both simply read the talking points as provided.

The reason this was so fun was that Bill was enormously enamored with the First Lady simply because she had the sense not to throw up on him. Clearly Bill has low standards for the left and Laura wasn’t drinking any of the kool-aid Bill took straight from the Obama’s silly party.

Good for O’Reilly. He was truly disgusted with her and damn near said “Oh Bull..*t!” Ingraham has evolved over the years to a place that is intractable and mean. You’d think her bout with cancer or her late conversion to Catholisicm would have guided her down a different path. Time was, she’d feature her brother on her radio show every week. He’d call in from San Franisco and they would go back and forth affectionately -conservative sister vs gay brother. These days, you wouldn’t know he exists.

  • SWWT

So why do we have only one minute of the interview and not the whole segment?

  • tjl

I can’t believe I’m going to say this, but.. Big ups to Bill (I think I just lost some street cred). But really, this is what it’s all about. If you can’t turn off the blinders (on both sides) than you have no place in the discussion.

I assume the entire exchange was orchestrated for theater, but just out of curiosity…

@RazorsEdge: What did MSNBC viewers think of Miss Ingraham, when she was MSNBC?

  • Fidoohki

It’s called honesty…. and he wants another invite next year… I bet Keith Olbermann’s head imploded:P

  • J Baustian

A head so full of excrement could not implode, even in the vacuum of space. Though perhaps we could ship Olbermann up to the ISS and run some experiments.

  • Yephora

    Colby, who’s this “Dr. Deiner?

Did you mean Dr. [Howard] Dean?
